Business nbn® is a broadband internet service delivered over the nbn® network, specifically designed to meet the demands of business operations. Fibre to the Premises (FTTP)
The gold standard of nbn® connections. Fibre optic cable runs directly to your premises from end to end, delivering the fastest speeds and most reliable performance available on the nbn® network.
Fibre to the Node (FTTN)
Fibre runs to a central node located within your neighbourhood, with the remaining connection to your premises completed over existing copper wiring. The length and condition of the copper run between the node and your premises can limit the speeds available, meaning performance varies from address to address.
Fibre to the Curb (FTTC)
Similar to FTTN, but the fibre runs closer to your premises, all the way to a pit or pole at the street. Only a short copper run remains between the pit and your premises, generally resulting in better speeds than FTTN, though still subject to some limitations compared to full fibre.
Hybrid Fibre-Coaxial (HFC)
Rather than using copper wiring, HFC uses existing pay TV coaxial cabling to connect your premises to the nbn® network. This allows for higher speeds than FTTN and FTTC at most premises.
Fixed Wireless
Fixed Wireless connects your premises to the nbn® network via a fixed wireless tower and a roof-mounted antenna, rather than a physical cable. While it extends nbn® coverage to areas where cabling is not feasible, the use of wireless technology means speeds and capacity can be more limited compared to fibre-based connections.
Satellite (Sky Muster)
Available in the most remote and regional locations where other nbn® technologies cannot reach, Satellite nbn® uses a dish mounted to the outside of your premises to receive a signal broadcast from an nbn® satellite. Like Fixed Wireless, speed and data options are more limited, but it provides connectivity where few other options exist.
