- The call is logged and made available afterward. Call records, voicemail transcriptions, and analytics are stored centrally and accessible through the online portal.
Outbound calls follow the same path in reverse: your device sends the call as data to the provider's cloud platform, which routes it out over a SIP trunk to the recipient's carrier, and on to their phone.
Provider-Hosted vs. On-Premise Architecture

With a traditional, on-premise PBX, the physical PBX unit sits in your office.
